External Furniture Service Technician

The External Service Technician is responsible for varying levels of repair and restoration of furniture pieces. Their work is performed in the customer’s home. The External Service Technician identifies the level of repair needed and determines the type of tool, equipment and parts needed to repair the piece. The pieces include, but are not limited to upholstery, case goods, table and leather refinishing and fabrication. The External Service Technician repairs the piece per standard operating procedures and company standards. Once the repair is complete, the External Service Technician ensures that the customer is satisfied with the repair.

  • Repairs damaged merchandise and repair customer's merchandise.
  • Order parts and compiles daily work sheets.(Technician is required to keep and submit all paperwork and records as required by departmental and GrandBrands policy.)
  • Maintenance of repair equipment & tools
  • Leather/Vinyl Furniture - Technician will be required to make professional level L/V repairs including rips and tears, filling and curing, coloring, topcoat, sewing and any other repairs necessary to restore company and customer furniture to original factory condition, or to maximize value.
  • Wood Repairs - Technician will be required to make professional level case good repairs including filing, coloring, gluing, veneer, case frame and any other repairs necessary to restore company and customer furniture to original factory condition, or to maximize value.
  • Upholstered Furniture - Technician will be required to make professional level upholstery repairs including fabric, sewing, frame, mechanisms, electric components, springs, cushioning, and any other repairs necessary to restore company and customer furniture to original factory condition to maximize value.
  • Demonstrate a high-level of attention to detail and professionalism at all times.
  • Ability to travel over the road for after purchase repair in the homes of customers.
  • Provide accurate details, descriptions and assessments.

Job Requirements/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Furniture repairs
  • Color matching and blending wood repairs
  • Skilled at burn-ins.
  • Knowledge on graining.
  • Artistic eye needed.
  • Upholstery Skills, structural and mechanism replacements a plus but not required.
  • Experience using hand and electrical tools to assemble furniture
  • Subject to drug and alcohol testing if involved in an accident or safety violation.
  • Must have and maintain a good driving record in accordance with GrandBrands policy.


Qualifications/Required Experience :

  • In-home or warehouse Furniture Repair 1 year of experience

Order Picker Operator

The Order Picker Associate is responsible in assisting material handlers in moving inventory in and out of bin locations while properly documenting all inventory movements. The Order Picker Associate will also assist with cleanliness throughout the warehouse and repairing damaged containers.

  • Performs the unloading, loading, staging, and warehousing of merchandise.
  • Practices safe and secure material handling methods and distributes merchandise properly in accordance with product handling standards.
  • Practices safe and secure loading methods to utilize the maximum amount of space and avoid damages.
  • Reports errors found on documents to supervisor.
  • Completes all documentation neatly and accurately using RF equipment.
  • Stamps merchandise.
  • Operates manual and mechanical equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
  • Utilizes Warehouse Management System.
  • Completes yearly scheduled safety and procedure training.
  • Performs picking and put away processes at elevated heights.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
     

Job Requirements/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to effectively communication with associates.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Basic numerical reasoning skills.
  • Subject to drug and alcohol testing if involved in an accident or safety violation.
  • Ability to complete paperwork in an accurate, neat and efficient manner.
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of Warehouse Management System (GERS).
  • Ability to work independently.


Qualifications/Required Experience :

  • 3 – 5 years Order Picking experience.

Unloader Associate

The Receiving Unloader continuously unloads merchandise from receiving vendors. The Receiving Unloader must be able to perform all core receiving functions on an as needed basis, including but not limited to, unloading merchandise, receiving merchandise, assisting with administrative duties, and moving merchandise. The Receiving Unloader Associate will work in a team environment to meet overall Distribution Center production goals and objectives. The Receiving Unloader Associate assists with cleanliness throughout the Distribution Center and ensures a safe working environment.

  • Meets or exceeds performance standards determined for each of the functions within assigned duties
  • Receives and unloads merchandise both manually or with equipment such as forklifts and hand dolly
  • Inspects merchandise for damage
  • Delivers and retrieves product(s) to and from work areas
  • Keeps shipping/receiving and Distribution areas clean
  • Ensures Distribution/equipment is maintained on a regular basis
  • Safely operate all the necessary equipment in work area
  • Responds to and assist requests from various departments
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Outlet Warehouse Supervisor

The Outlet Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the warehousing functions for the Outlet Division. The Supervisor is responsible for a wide variety of warehouse activities including shipping and receiving materials and/or finished goods and maintaining inventory and managing warehouse associates. People management responsibilities include hiring and training, planning and assigning daily work, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues, and resolving problems. Supervise daily activities of outlet stores warehouse functions and ensure safe and efficient storage and retrieval of product.

  • Supervise a team of warehouse associates to ensure the flows of products are meeting the demands of the sales division.
  • Supervise receipt of all shipments
  • Process receiving, discrepancy, and damage reports as needed
  • Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews
  • Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
  • Walk the floor daily and ensure sold product is quickly moved off the sales floor and to designated pick up areas
  • Load and unload delivery truck by hand or with pallet jacks/forklift
  • Maintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts; reconciling variances
  • Inputting data and weekly inventory of back room locations
  • Direct and maintain a safety program for all employees assigned to warehouse
     

Job Requirements/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of computerized inventory and tracking systems.
  • Data entry experience
  • Good customer service skills and interpersonal skills in a timely courteous and respectful manner
  • Leadership Skills: Highly effective leadership skills are needing in the processes of hiring employees and resolving conflicts, as well as keep employees motivated and on-task
  • Organizational Skills: Must be able to effectively handle multiple orders, people and many moving pieces with
